One of the Gogetmeit staff will contact you to assess your suitability and arrange an interview(at your chosen location) either in person or over the phone. 

In order for us to verify you as a trusted tradesperson we need to carry out a few checks, this is usually completed within a day to help you get started with the platform quickly.

To help speed up the process here is a list of items you may need to verify your business before we activate your account on the website and the directory:

Qualifications – proof that you are qualified to undertake your chosen profession, this can be in the form of trade served or professional qualification from an approved body. We understand that some traders may not have an appropriate governing body therefore we will require some references. 

Insurance – the minimum requirement to be approved for the site is that you hold public liability if you employ people will require employee insurance for the people you hire. This will safeguard yourself and your employees.

Utility Bills – In order to verify your company we will require at least one utility bill that shows you live / work from the place you state you do 

Identification – We also need to validate the person creating the account, therefore, require a form of photo identification (passport/driver’s license) 

Trading Standards – We need your permission for us to talk to trading standards about you 

Referees – We highly recommend that all new members supply at least 5 of their previous customers details, we will contact them to obtain references and experience that they had during the work you completed for them. We will also ask them for some feedback which will help your rating on the site.

Ethics and Conduct – you must sign and adhere to our code of conduct, these safeguards our reputation as well as your own.

Credit Check on Limited Companies - we may on some occasions perform a Credit Check on applicants that are Limited and Limited Liability Partnership companies to check their financial history. In addition, we look at the length of experience and your company history as well as VAT and company legal status. This is based on company type and trade you are looking to be listed for on the site.

Once you are approved you are ready to start receiving completing jobs.

Unlike all the other trade sites our costs are 0 which is 100% cheaper than Checkatrade and Trustatrader.

Once you’re logged in, you’ll be able to start updating your profile. Add the trades that you specialise in, make sure you state your availability, how far you’re willing to travel and write a little about yourself and your business

Sit back and watch the jobs roll in! We’ll assign jobs to you according to your skills and your availability – it’s then up to you to follow up on the jobs.
